Kate reviews the clinical content across this library — the hair loss pages, the treatment explainers and the articles. Each reviewed page shows the date it was last checked and when it is next due.

She is an accredited and registered trichologist with the International Association of Trichologists (IAT), has more than thirty years in the hair industry, and has practised scalp micropigmentation since 2011 — a Diploma of SMP from Goldeneye, followed by a Masters of SMP with Scalp Micro USA in 2017. She is the director and senior practitioner at Foli Sim, and has taught and presented on SMP in Australia and internationally, including at the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery's World Congress live surgery workshop.

One boundary, stated plainly: a trichologist is not a doctor. Where a question on these pages needs a prescription, a biopsy or a specialist diagnosis, the page says so and points at the practitioner who can actually provide it — that honesty about scope is what a named reviewer is for.

Why a named reviewer

Hair loss is a health topic, and health content without accountability is worth very little. A named reviewer with a review date means someone specific stands behind what is written, and that it gets revisited rather than left to age.
