Send photos, get an SMP assessment

An assessment for scalp micropigmentation starts with photographs and a short history. It costs nothing to ask, and the answer is sometimes that SMP is not what you need.

This form is for scalp micropigmentation. It is the treatment Foli Sim delivers — the appearance of density, or an even shaved look, without surgery. If you are weighing transplantation or a medical route instead, the comparison page is more use to you than this form, and nobody will chase you.

How should we reach you?

We will use these details to respond to your enquiry. Nothing here is a diagnosis, and an assessment is not a promise of a particular result.

What to photograph, and why it matters

An assessment is only as good as what it can see, and the difference between a useful set of photographs and an unusable one is entirely lighting and angle. Four shots, taken in daylight near a window, with no flash and no overhead spotlight — a downward-facing ceiling light casts shadow exactly where the detail is.

  • The top of the head, looking down. Hold the camera above and slightly behind, so the crown and the part are both visible.
  • The hairline, straight on. Hair dry and pushed back off the forehead.
  • Both sides in profile. These show the temples and the density behind the hairline, which is often where the pattern is clearest.
  • The part, if the concern is thinning rather than recession. Part the hair where you normally would and photograph straight down the line.

Dry hair, not wet — wet hair clumps and reads as far thinner than it is, which is the single most common reason a set of photographs overstates the loss. If you have older photographs from a year or two ago, send those too. The rate of change tells us more than any single moment does.

What happens after you send it

You get a reply from a person, not an automated quote. It will say what the photographs appear to show, what it cannot establish without an examination, and which routes are worth discussing. Sometimes it says that nothing needs doing yet and suggests when to look again — that is a real outcome, not a brush-off.
