Hair Tattoo in Sydney
Two things worth saying at the top. The look is decided by the hairline, not the technology. And our Sydney rooms have closed, so the work itself now happens in Melbourne.

There is no clinic in Sydney. Treatment is delivered at Foli Sim North Melbourne.
Our Sydney rooms have closed, so treatment for Sydney clients is now delivered in North Melbourne. It is a short domestic flight and the clinic is close to the city, but each session realistically means an overnight stay rather than a same-day return.

The hairline is the whole decision
What makes this look like hair rather than ink is almost entirely the edge. A line that is too low, too straight or too dark announces itself immediately, and it is the one thing people cannot stop seeing once they have noticed it.
The version that holds up is irregular, has temple points that recede naturally, and fades rather than terminating. It is drawn and reviewed in a mirror before anything permanent happens — and the right instinct, if you are hesitating, is to go softer.
Judging the work before you fly
Travelling for this makes the usual advice more important, not less. Ask for healed work rather than fresh work — results photographed on the day always look sharper than they settle. Ask specifically for hairlines on faces roughly like yours, at several months.
A preliminary conversation with photographs can happen before you book anything, which is the sensible order when a flight is involved.
Full shave, or blended into what you have
A full shave gives the most even and most predictable result. Blended density works through the hair you still have, reducing the contrast that makes thinning visible without changing how you wear it.
The second suits most people with crown thinning better than they expect, and it is the option most often missed.
Matching stubble, and going grey
Pigment is matched to your hair now and placed at a depth that reads as stubble. Beard-to-scalp transitions are planned rather than left to chance.
Pigment does not grey. As surrounding hair lightens the contrast shifts, which is managed at a refresh — better raised at the start than found later.
Work on real patients

Treatment photography published by Foli Sim, shown unretouched and uncropped as released, with the clinic’s branding in frame. Each set shows the same client before and after their sessions.
These are individual results and are not a prediction of yours. What is achievable depends on the pattern and stage of your loss, your skin, and how the loss behaves from here.
What an assessment establishes
- 1.Which process is causing the loss
Pattern loss, telogen effluvium, traction and scarring alopecia look similar in a mirror and behave nothing alike. The examination separates them, because the answer decides which routes are worth discussing at all.
- 2.Whether it is stable or still moving
Loss that is still progressing changes what any treatment can hold. It is the difference between planning around a fixed area and planning around one that will keep widening, and it is judged from history and examination rather than a single photograph.
- 3.Which routes are available to you, and which are not
Donor supply, scalp condition, skin type and how the loss is behaving each rule options in or out. You leave knowing what is on the table and what is not, without a price attached to the conversation.

Questions about the look
Where does the work actually happen?
North Melbourne. The Sydney rooms have closed, so Sydney clients travel for treatment.
Can I see healed results before committing to a flight?
Yes, and you should. Healed work at several months is the only fair basis for judging a hairline.
Will it look obvious under harsh light?
Direct sun and flash are the hardest tests. Restrained work holds up; work that is too dark shows there first.
Can the hairline be adjusted on a later trip?
It can be softened or extended, which is why starting conservatively is sensible — adding is straightforward, removing is not.
How short will I need to keep it?
For a shaved look, short enough that surrounding hair does not compete with the pigment.
Does the flight itself affect the result?
No. Cabin air is drying and the scalp may feel tight, but flying the day after a session is common and unproblematic.
Scalp micropigmentation is what Foli Sim delivers. Send photos and get an assessment.
