About
Who publishes this
Medical Hair Restoration Australia publishes this library. Treatment is delivered by Foli Sim, which is part of the same group.
This site exists to answer the questions people actually have about hair loss — what is causing it, how it is diagnosed, and what each treatment route can and cannot do. It is written to be read rather than sold from, which is why there is no pricing here and no promise of a result.
Why the library is separate from the clinic
Medical Hair Restoration Australia and Foli Sim are the same company. Keeping the library under its own name is deliberate: a page that has to sell a procedure cannot also tell you honestly when that procedure is the wrong answer, and most of the useful information about hair loss falls into that category. Roughly half of what is written here ends in some version of “this is not what you need”.
The commercial arrangement is stated rather than hidden. If you enquire through this site, the enquiry goes to Foli Sim. That is the whole business model, and knowing it should change how you read the pages — which is precisely why it is on this page rather than buried in the terms.
How the clinical content is reviewed
Every clinical page carries a named reviewer, the date it was reviewed and the date it is next due. Nothing publishes without all three. The reviewer is a person, not a committee and not a job title, and the same name appears on every page they have signed off, so a claim can be traced to someone who is accountable for it.
Pages are written against published sources and cite them where a specific claim depends on one. Where a question genuinely cannot be answered without an examination and your own history, the page says so instead of guessing — staging, candidacy and anything involving prescription medicine all fall into that group. A web page can tell you what the options are and what each one does. It cannot tell you which one is right for your scalp.
What we do not do here
No prices, no financing language, no before-and-after gallery presented as a promise, and no claim about a result that anyone should expect. Hair loss has a large and well-documented market in overstatement, and the fastest way to be useful is simply not to participate in it. Where this site shows work, it says plainly how the photographs were taken and that individual results vary.
Where treatment happens
Treatment is delivered at Foli Sim, at Fremantle in Western Australia and at North Melbourne in Victoria. Those are the only two clinics. Pages for cities without one say so above the fold and name the clinic you would actually travel to, because someone weighing a flight needs that before they enquire, not after.
If you want the reasoning behind the routes rather than the routes themselves, start with the comparison, or with what causes hair loss if you do not yet know which process you are dealing with.
Not sure which route fits? Send photos — we will tell you if scalp micropigmentation suits, or if it does not.
